1:00-4:30 pm Project Bus Tour
As we near the end of the Iowa Watershed Approach, we look forward to gathering in-person to celebrate the positive impacts we have had on our landscape and the people within our watersheds and communities. Please join us for a networking lunch followed by a project bus tour in the Middle Cedar watershed. The day will conclude by 4:30 pm. A formal agenda will be emailed by June 1, and also posted on the event page.
We are requesting registration for this event, the last day to register is June 7. The lunch and project bus tour is open to the public, registration and further details are located on the Iowa Watershed Approach website.
We have received commitment that the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Grant Programs at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is planning to join us for the day, and we are excited to share our successes from Iowa with HUD. Media and elected officials will be invited to attend the tour. Event organizers include: IEDA, Iowa Flood Center, ISU, WHKS, and local Middle Cedar River Watershed stakeholders.
We look forward to gathering in-person! However, we know things can change abruptly with the pandemic. In-person gatherings will follow CDC recommended guidelines, and any changes in plans will be communicated in advance of the event. We are not planning for virtual participation. Individuals with disabilities or needing special accommodations can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 319-335-5233.
