Hear from Tricia Denton, who is Glen Lake Guardian Ambassador and Chair of Leelanau County Michigan’s Watershed Collaborative, Leelanau Clean Water, as she shares information on successfully implementing and spreading a watershed “Guardian” program to educate and promote best management practices. This includes a unique program for identifying and reaching out to new landowners. The Glen Lake-Crystal River Watershed is the top participant in Michigan’s Shoreland Stewards Program and has created many innovative approaches that have spread to other watersheds regionally and across the state.
