Prairie Strips) research has hit important milestones recently. They will update us on their work and have a discussion on
STRIPS applicability in Iowa’s conservation efforts including newly established eligibility for CRP via CP-43, soil health,
biodiversity, and a new free online training.

1:00 PM Meskwaki Nation: Water program history, progress, current projects, and their experience with the first year
of water quality standard development authority with Jake Hill, Kelly Schott, and Jarrett Pfrimmer.
2:00 PM: Two Truths and a Lie: Iowa Conservation Edition with Joe Otto, Historian and Project Manager with the Soil
and Water Conservation Society will share stories with attendees about conservation’s origin in Iowa. Attendees will be
able to use polling to weigh in on the accuracy of stories and other items presented. See just how much you and your
colleagues know about Iowa’s conservation history!
3:00 PM: Drinks and Dialogue: Breakout Rooms with various topics including embarrassing ExCom content from the
SWCS National Society Conference, further discussions of the chapter plans for 2020, and just general socialization with
beverages of your choice.
